Ellison Family Tree

Ten generations of Ellison's have been discovered going back to Robert Ellison a furrier, born in 1689, who lived in Clifton, just outside York. From 1689 to 1900 the Ellison's lived in York, they then moved to Leeds and on to Bradford and Wigan. A number of generations were Freeman of the City of York and are listed in the Freemen records in the York City archives.

During the period 1700 to 1900 there were many Ellison families living in York, some descended from Robert of Clifton. I would be interested to make contact with anyone with Ellison ancestors living in York at this time.

Further research was undertaken in January 2010 which has resulted in the addition of more ancestors.
